Good Sleep

When IoT meets sleep, it will help create a better sleep environment by adjusting connected devices based on my sleep state.

Overview

The IoT sleep product comprises a light and a sleep sensor. The sleep sensor not only analyzes the user's sleeping patterns but can also connect with other devices to provide a sleep environment. The sleep light helps users wake up more comfortably by detecting shallow sleep states.

It represents the integration of smart devices and appliances within a household that are interconnected and can be controlled remotely.

The device knows what the user  is doing.

Most IoT devices have been focused on energy savings and remote control through on and off controls. I have contemplated devices that diversify scenarios and deliver the value of connectivity to users.”

If devices know when I fall asleep...

The sleep sensor has the capability to analyze the user's sleep on its own, but we thought about scenarios where it could be connected with other existing devices. Understanding and recognizing the user's behavior to control connected appliances. I believe that this could provide added value and advance IoT one step further.

When I turn on the lights and fall asleep...

The sleep sensor detects when sleep is initiated, and once the user falls asleep, connected appliances automatically turn off, enabling control over devices such as TV or lighting.

Creating  a Sleep Environment

Before bedtime, we engage in various activities according to our lifestyle. We make efforts towards creating a better sleep environment by turning on humidifiers or turning off lights. IoT sleep sensors can assist in improving the sleep environment by adjusting device connections more meticulously based on my sleep state.

Design

Sleep Sensor :

To easily visualize sleep status, users can check their sleep quality through scores and colors. We made sure that users can easily access the most desired information such as sleep duration and time taken to fall asleep. Additionally, we focused on crafting clear and understandable phrases for analyzing sleep patterns.

Sleep Light :

The sleep light is widely used in everyday life even without IoT functionality. In the app, users can select their preferred colors and specify three modes: focus, relaxation, and sleep, providing corresponding colors and sounds."

Reflection

The aim of this IoT sleep service is to offer users a means of measuring and overseeing their sleep, intending to enhance their overall health. Furthermore, the objective is to create a healthy sleep environment that can positively impact on people's daily lives.
